Our Team

Galway City Medical Centre is a city centre based practice of male and female Family Doctors. Treating patients for over 50 years, established originally by Dr Michael O’ Flaherty, the medical team here now includes Dr Michael’s son, Dr Colm O Flaherty, Dr John Lally, Dr Ruth Smith and Dr Marie-Therese Glynn. We are a teaching practice and are involved in training young doctors.  Our practice is based on the ground floor, with wheelchair access, a large child friendly waiting area and baby changing facilities. The upper floors are currently occupied with consultant clinics including Prof Kieran Daly, Consultant Cardiologist. The GPs at Galway City Medical Centre are available for appointments between 9am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday but 24 hour emergency access to a doctor is provided for all our registered patients. During weekends and bank holidays, our patients are seen in the Bons Secours hospital, Renmore, by the doctor on call ( Citydoc).
